Roslyn “Roz” Cantrell, Ph.D.

“When you do your work, it is a gift you give yourself – a gift you can give away, but nobody can take it away from you.”

– Roz Cantrell

I believe in the possibility of just about anything. Over the past 25 years in private practice, I have been amazed to witness what life has to offer for those willing to do their work. Through the years, my clients have shown me that anything can happen.

I am compassionately aware of the difficulty in creating change in one’s life, even when we so desperately desire it. I believe that change occurs within the zone of “optimal pain.” If there isn’t enough pain, then we are complacent and have no need or want to change. When there is too much pain, our life becomes chaotic and overwhelming, and we feel paralyzed. It is in this zone of “optimal pain” where people are willing and able to change, and I am here to help.

Perhaps you, like many of my clients, are already an expert in what’s not working. That’s why I believe we just need to increase the options in our repertoire, and to add tools and skills to create the life that we long for.

I work with individuals, couples, and families to move from a chapter of survival, into a chapter of living and thriving. My approach is gentle, but firm. Integrating a variety of methodologies, I seek to support my clients through a collaborative process of getting their head, heart and gut on the same page.

A student myself, I continue my journey of learning, healing, and growing. Even after 25 years in practice, I am still committed to doing my own work. I believe that if I’m asking you to do your work, then I better be doing mine. My compassion and empathy for those around me, and my deep belief that we are all connected fuel my practice.

I encourage you to embark on the next chapter of your life. If you are looking for an animated and collaborative approach to change, healing, and growth, please contact me and let’s get started on this incredible journey.
